FG Not Serious In Adopting UTAS – Osodeke Discloses, As Union To Make Their Decision Known This Week
ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, told journalist Abulu Osemuaghu exclusively via the telephone that it will brief the media this week on their decision.
Osodeke accused Federal Government of foot-dragging on its various demands especially the adoption of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution, (UTAS) despite scoring 90%.
ASUU President also admitted that although the meeting with the Federal government’s 2009 Agreements renegotiation team led by Professor Nimi Briggs has so far been fruitful.
Poly Unwana ASUP Chapter Meets, Agrees To Continue Strike Until Management Attend To Crucial Demands
The statement on the outcome of ASUP Poly Unwana chapter meeting held on monday 6 June, 2022, signed by Okoh Chukwuemeka Richard DOI SUG of the institution, reads in part;
“ASUP Poly Unwana chapter has vowed to continue its strike after meeting with its members. Reason being that the management is yet to attend to their crucial demands and untill then the strike continues.
Meanwhile discussions continues with the management as regards the strike. Any further development as regards to the strike will be communicated to us as they come.” he added.
